I received an early birthday present this evening! The wife had a customized pair of Chucks made to order for me through Converse’s web page. This pair has the colors of my favorite hockey team, the Broad Street Bullies, aka the Philadelphia Flyers! Somara wanted to have the side have Flyers stitched on the sides but the Converse site has the means to block trademarked names. We plan on finding some other Flyers clothing and put the infamous P logo on there with fabric glue.
Now all I need is the new CBA to be announced with training camp days set up; a cordial parting for John LeClair and Tony Amonte (I’d prefer they stayed and retired with dignity but they put Philly way over the cap); tickets to the next Flyers v. Stars match in Dallas and a trip to Vegas so I can buy another betting slip on them to win the Cup, which they stand a good chance at doing.
