Maybe I could say the respite is for everybody out there on the Interwebs since I have been rather prolific with the posts this year. (Nope, seems to be on par with last year. Never mind.)
Well I’m back after being sick last week which was rather annoying. Think about it. I run almost two miles/day, five days a week; take a rather hefty vitamin cocktail; have dropped over 10 pounds this year (I think 15 now); eat much less but more fruit; upped my intake of unsweet tea over diet/non-diet soda…still get “hit by a truck” with a nice cold consisting of aching joints, congestion and the sweats.
The only upside though is the temporary weight loss which is really dehydration and partial starvation; colds tend to suppress my appetite.
The crummier downside is the site languishing and a small backlog of stories, some often get ditched by the wayside.
This go round, I experienced some additional apathy in getting the ball rolling again. The most important order of business was having my running routine re-established (the side widget proves this). Afterwards, a ton of cool events kicked in (read on, or I guess above if you’re on the site, no wait, RSS Feeds are similar) with others to follow.
I am rather stoked about my BMI going under 30 last Friday. Hooray! I was only overweight instead of obese! Something I haven’t been in years. Probably a decade.
Again, stick around, I think this upcoming week will be pretty bitchin’.
