This November will mark the 50th anniversary of the BBC’s Doctor Who TV series. To celebrate, the Royal Post (the UK’s USPS) issued these really bitchin’ stamps with the faces of all 11 actors. Sadly, the first three passed away and Peter Cushing doesn’t get to be amongst them; he played the Doctor in two movies during the Sixties when the UK was caught up in Dalekmania.
I’m not a diehard to be labelled a Whovian yet I can name all 11 people on these stamps. It seems to run in the Maggi DNA as I recently discovered my niece Rachel’s fandom (technically she is my cousin Matthew’s daughter); I scored her a nicer packaged set as a high-school graduation gift.
You too can get these through the Royal Post’s website even if you don’t reside in the UK.
