Holy Crap! I didn’t think these natural occurrences happened so close to the sea/ocean. My sister-in-law Anje informed me of it via WhatsApp. I thought, they probably happen occasionally, they’re probably on par with smog or ozone alerts in Austin. Then she said school was cancelled and everybody had to stay inside until it blew over (no pun intended). Middle Eastern reality blows away Dune or Tatooine.
With their safety figured out, the next question I had was about how badly cars have their paint stripped. Anje stated that most many residents have covered or enclosed parking. If you must drive/park in it, veterans know to coat their vehicles with dish-washing soap to catch the particulate matter. Nobody has invented thick eyelashes to cover the car’s air filter yet.
