What a thrill too, the Carvana deliver guy was early so I didn’t miss out on any serious amount of work. I’m always impressed by the power of hydraulics lifting and lowering something so heavy. I got to give the new Rogue a couple quick spins today. The first was obviously from the street and into our driveway as Jennifer was sleeping. The second entailed a critical trip to Rogues Gallery for my weekly nerd supplies, namely the new Spelljammer D&D set. It’s definitely Jennifer’s vehicle. I didn’t like how it “felt” while I drove, the Rogue “feels” too large and I don’t like seeing above the traffic at such a height. I prefer to be closer to the correct eye level where I can avoid hitting bike, pedestrians and fellow sedans/hatchbacks. I loved it having a USB-C and -A set of ports. The downside, my tried and true iPod Touch still on iOS 9.x refuses to play through the stereo by either cable nor BlueTooth. Boo! The blindspot detectors seemed to only go off when someone was approaching from behind, now when you pass them…I think. More importantly, Jennifer is stoked to be mobile on her own again and she got something pretty close to what she lost. To answer what you’re thinking already, no and no, APD has done jackshit which is par for the course, Amerikan cops are worthless when it comes to property crimes, something I will remind them when they want more money. The other no involves her insurance company. Nary a peep yet I’m confident they will continue to have their hand out for a premium payment or recommendation, fat chance.
Next on the “new” car agenda: Jennifer will be purchasing all the stuff she wants to customize it; cellphone holder, seat covers (they’re not leather), etc. My request, help me give the Blue Rogue a cool name like my cars have. If you’ve forgotten, my Red Prius is Harley, the Nineties animated version of Harley Quinn. She’s red and black all over. I’m open to suggestions given the only things I can come up with are Blue Beetle or Blue Morpho, neither are terribly great.
