Tybalt continues to show up on our driveway several times a week, it depends on the weather but this recent stray has been poking around on the back porch. She’s very small, quite tame and extremely affectionate. I named her Buttercup from The Princess Bride which I’m trying to read (again) plus as I’ve blathered on before…2012 is the 25th anniversary of the movie (we have tickets for the Valentine’s Day Feast!). Within hours, Buttercup has “trained” me to reply to her timid little mewing. She prefers to reside on the other side of the fence which makes me ponder about her feral status. Somara said I can get into serious trouble if I have another person’s cat neutered. Ergo, I need to ask around DeMaret Street to see if anyone claims Buttercup as a pet or nuisance. Then will come the process of finding her a loving home. Molly already goes bananas from Buttercup’s scent on my hands.
Fellow Austinites, post and/or contact me should you be interested. I have put out a litter box to see if Buttercup knows how to use it.
The Princess Bride film was a quarter century ago?! Yeesh, I’ve lost track.
