Given his aristocratic (and racist) nature, I don’t think HP Lovecraft would’ve found the humor in this prank. The person who also did this titled it a Turkraken because the general public isn’t knowledgable of the Cthulhu Mythos. Not a very cheap visual joke neither. I can’t tell if they managed to stuff an entire octopus in there or found a fish market selling all those big arms/legs. I enjoy eating squid, aka calamari; I’ve had octopus on sushi but I could not eat pieces this large. Just looking at it and thinking about chewing on non-deep fried octopus triggers dry heaving.
