More Futurama on Comedy Central
Not a ka-jillion details other than voice actor Maurice (The Brain) LaMarche squeezing it in during his tribute to William Shatner.

Go Team Venture!
The best original, hand-drawn cartoon…OK, it’s just the plain best show on Adult Swim, The Venture Brothers, has been renewed for two more seasons with a 60-90 minute special. I have a strong spot in my heart with many other shows … Continue reading

Happy 80th Birthday William Shatner
Star Trek and Futurama wouldn’t be the same without him. I definitely need to make the time to catch the uncensored version of his roast on Netflix.

Futurama was originally a game in the Eighties!
I used to own a Nintendo in the late Eighties, how did I miss this title?

It’s better than the re-release in 3-D
Since I enjoyed their past work of Hot Fuzz and Shaun of the Dead, I’m willing to give Paul a shot especially after this little fan film the Brit duo did. I’ll still shoot for the matinee price at Alamo.

Cirque du Soleil: Dralion
This was my fourth show of the French-Canadian circus troupe and so far it’s the funniest because the comic-relief characters are larger participants than those recall from O, Mystere and Alegria. It still has mostly serious moments involving acrobats, trapeze artists … Continue reading

I always wondered what Spock was viewing
This does drag on a bit and get childish, but I still found it more entertaining than the recent Abrams’ movie.

Overdue birthday gift arrived for a friend
One of my biggest peeves with Hollywood is their failing grades in Astronomy, they’re almost as bad as the Deep South’s grades in Science overall. I know they’re just movies or TV shows, but c’mon, our understanding regarding the galaxy … Continue reading

RIP Ken Mars
Today’s audiences will remember him as the kind German ranch owner from Malcolm in the Middle. No matter how much the older brother Francis screwed up, Otto let it slide until he was written out for the last couple seasons. … Continue reading

Exterminate!
An awesome fandom shirt from Teefury showing the Doctor’s most famous mechanical nemesis standing over the carnage of Pop Culture’s most famous robots, cyborgs and vehicles. To split hairs, Daleks aren’t robots though. They’re probably closer the cyborg family since … Continue reading

RIP Charlie Callas & David Frye
A rather sad kick off to the weekend for comedy and Las Vegas, where both gentlemen resided during their final years. Charlie Callas is most likely to be recognized by younger people from Mel Brooks’ movies. I forgot he was … Continue reading

Belated RIP Steve Landesberg, aka Sgt. Dietrich
Comedian Steve Landesberg’s passing is old news by now but the other day I had a little personal revelation about the well-loved character he played, Detective Sgt. Arthur Dietrich. I’m somewhat like him at work…in a good way. Hear me … Continue reading

RIP Blake Edwards
Revenge of the Pink Panther was the first non-Disney or Star Wars movie I got to see in theaters. With all the slapstick from Peter Sellers, it was small wonder why kids found it funny and my parents took us … Continue reading
