At the current pace we’re going, we’ll own my side of the bed (30%) within eight years. Actually, it’ll be sooner as the interest part of the mortgage declines and over the upcoming months, it should accelerate a bit. Good thing we own the master bathroom, harder to evict me while in the middle of showering…gotta’ be tidy before a life of lilving under MoPac.
Next up, I should evaluate the house’s appraisal value against the loan to see if we’re finally off the hook for PMI and we can handle our own escrow. Wells Fargo (boo!) said we were approaching this milestone in the near future.
