Last night, my friend and former co-worker at Kenny’s, Kate gave birth to her first child Cadence! No, not something derived from Candice like Candice Bergen of Murphy Brown fame. Cadence as in the definition courtesy of Webster’s. I think it’s a decent name, certainly beats all the misspellings going around or something that sounds like a brand of cigarettes.
Kate and Cadence made it through marvelously. They’re expected to go home as soon as possible with Dad (Matt, he has a name, this isn’t an Anakin Skywalker-baby). I look forward to meeting another little girl to spoil. Hopefully, she will be as entertained by my monkey imitation as Haley is.
