A string of birthday wishes, mostly belated

I don’t plan on making this a trend like my in-laws do with celebrating birthdays, they lump everybody who shares a particular month into one gathering…as we’ll be doing next weekend (knock on wood with Somara’s health).

Let’s start with today, TJ, the eldest son of the Silders. He hits what is considered official teenager status. I guess. I figured high school is the real decider, not a suffix. Good luck to him on it, he’ll be fine though. I haven’t heard any serious complaints regarding my nephew Nick who hit said barrier last year. Helen only gets a little upset when I rib her over the million-dollar-towel jokes.

Now the people I’m really tardy with.

Lester, my gaming sensei and poet extraordinaire had his special day last week. In his honor, I contributed 10 smackers toward a new governor. As a fellow Marquette alumnus, I must apologize, or maybe not, the jerk didn’t graduate.

Earlier in this week was my brother-in-law Aaron and his middle son Wyatt. Somara and I will be wishing them well in person Saturday and/or Sunday. It’ll be my first trip to Aggieland (aka College Station, TX) for some time. Hopefully, the kids are excited about the 43-year-old fatso uncle visiting to play Pathfinder and video games with ’em.
