During my semester with Stardate in Milwaukee, I only got to see pieces of riders for a couple shows…I think Billy Squier’s regarding what to feed the roadies (nothing interesting) and The Motels in the company’s archives. The owner (Randy) understood my curiosity but said not to look at them without supervision. He was more concerned bout the files remaining intact for a tax audit since I was there in the pre-Internet Era.
Van Halen’s rider regarding the brown M&M’s has been legendary. I recall one promoter talking in an interview that the Rolling Stones had their rider say they would gladly take all the brown M&M’s Van Halen left behind.
The fine people at Mental Floss have it posted, probably in light of Van Halen’s latest comeback. Seems pretty reasonable nowadays if you’ve read flash-in-the-pan Katy Perry’s bullshit requirements.
