The flight home was relatively uneventful, just choppy on the take-off and landing…there were also a couple bumps during the cruising part. We then took 130 (the toll road on Austin’s very east side) to get to the vet before closing. Made it with 12 minutes to spare!
What followed were the instructions on how to feed Molly with special food via a syringe, give her medicine and the fun task, getting pain meds down her throat.
I did get to see her! Molly appears to be the same, bloated looking with bare patches from the probing/poking. Her personality hasn’t changed…chatty, bossy and feisty. She already chased the other three cats but I’m keeping her locked up in the main bedroom for her own protection.
Tomorrow I get the prognosis with Dr. Todd. So far it hasn’t been cheap. I love this cat very much yet I don’t want to throw money at her problems in vain if Molly will just continue to live in pain for an extra couple months. We’ll manage. The office was nice enough to go with a payment plan. Somara and I are starting re-arrangement the budget to cover the initial $1500 bill.
