The man is full of surprises. Just when I figured he was fading away into retirement last year with his turning 65 and no new (studio) album in nine years, The Thin White Duke pops up. I figure people in the loop knew he’d do this. But who cares. I’m glad to see he is willing to hit the well one more time. Is it any good? No idea, I will get around to it later today. Bowie is working with Tony Visconti again which is a mixed thing. Bad: not trying another producer to broaden his sound; Good: Visconti is a fantastic producer whose career spans the decades.
Nice to see the first album I want to buy for 2013 will be from a favorite artist.
