Black Sabbath

These customized Chucks were released in conjunction with the band’s remastered Ozzy-period catalog. Heavy Metal isn’t necessarily my first choice of music, especially with the genre being littered by numerous hair bands but I still have a liking for the foundational acts or key records. Sabbath falls into the latter since Paranoid is their only strong record; it has the three hits most know, obviously “Paranoid,” “Iron Man” and “War Pigs/Luke’s Wall.” However, I will concede to any dedicated Metalhead capable of defending the other few albums before Dio replaced Ozzy.

The color stitched on the back made these shoes a must have.

The colored stitched album title on the back made these shoes a must have.

Regardless of the band’s past or current work, I’m always out to add more rock n’ roll-based Chucks to my collection. Hell, I have Gorillaz and I know even fewer of their tunes.

blacksabbathtongueI need to get new laces for these. I thought the logo was more on the pink side. Nope, they’re closer to purple. They just look too damn cool even with the black and white included in the box.

Lastly, a big special thank you to my friend Sara from the Converse Store! She made sure this order shipped on time and without any difficulty.

Next up? No signs of any new bands getting their names immortalized on iconic shoes. I wish they’d do more late Sevenites/early Eighties New Waves acts like Duran Duran.
