I also changed the countdown widget since I really don’t give a crap about “celebrating” how many years I’ve officially been with Apple given their history of stiffing me on real promotions. The upside of remaining relegated as a senior phone monkey is Somara and I could finally schedule the vacation we were derailed from taking last year. The reason why we call this trip 17 A is that we are going to go back later for we have two opportunities to use our timeshare.
It was a very fortuitous decision. Our plane tickets were under $520 round trip, non-stop with Southwest! They’ve jacked their boarding fee again but I’ll let it slide. If it weren’t a vacation flight, I would not bother with the airline’s “one percenter” fee.
What will we do out there? I have little idea yet. I did consider seeing Steely Dan since my friend Ethan is a huge fan. We would’ve had a little get together with him and his wife Kelly but he nixed it, saying the band kind of phones it in. Sounds like a more affordable Eagles concert. Ray Romano and David Spade will be performing at the Mirage. Mmm, I would rather have a musical act as the trip’s centerpiece.
Well, we have a good stretch of time to figure things out. We’re still going to pursue favorite standbys: Pinball Hall of Fame, Caesar’s Palace for one dinner, Paris for one breakfast and the Maggi Republic Video Poker Series! If you have suggestions, you know how to reach me or post them as comments. I have a prize waiting for whoever writes the 500th comment.
