This week, a long overdue recording of a conversation between two major assholes responsible for the rise of Orange Foolius and American inequality finally got released. It has been held back for many years, I think at the request of St. Reagan revisionists. If you hadn’t heard it, the two are chuckling over a racist comment St. Reagan made about African representatives at a UN gathering.
Tricky Dick’s racism was obvious in his “law and order” appeal to get elected alongside the Southern Strategy. The former was a plan to put all the uppity minorities, namely Blacks, in their place. The latter was draw in Southern Democrats who were pissed about LBJ’s efforts to put teeth into Civil Rights and voting laws. It means his claims about being a Quaker were crap too. I know they’re pacifists first but he’s the most famous one to be a blatant bigot.
St. Reagan’s racism was more well documented during his time in Hollywood, as governor of California and the apex before being president was where he launched his 1980 bid…Philadelphia, MS, the place where three Civil Rights workers were murdered by the cops/KKK (one and the same there). His choice of location was code to the NeoConfederates that he planned to weaken Civil Rights even further.
Just putting it out there because Americans and their corporate-owned media have a bad habit of praising two of America’s worst presidents. Going to China wasn’t genius, it was inevitable for anyone in the gig; and the other didn’t win the Cold War, the Soviet Union went broke before we did plus we’re continuing to suffer from the aftermath of his paranoid world view. Why do you think people are fleeing violence from Central America. The weapons both sides gave those armies/rebels in the proxy wars remain.
