A whole new generation of kids was going to be introduced to Blue Falcon and Dynomutt next month via an upcoming Scooby Doo movie but the Pandemic killed its theatrical release; it will be out digitally though. For me, I grew up with these two in the late Seventies as they were part of Scooby Doo’s defection to ABC when the broadcast networks had Saturday Morning cartoons. The “seriousness” of Blue Falcon is what drew me in because I was still going through my superhero phase. In the long run, Dynomutt is why I loved the show. I wasn’t alone. These two have had numerous appearances via the Cartoon Network and [adult swim] to keep them in everybody’s consciousness.
- Dexter’s Laboratory: Blue Falcon came to Dexter to repair Dynomutt.
- Harvey Birdman: Attorney at Law: Blue Falcon joins the law firm, pushing out Harvey’s hopes at becoming partner and then being framed for “murdering” Dynomutt with a photocopier.
- Cartoon Network did some short-lived Flash shorts with them.
Can’t wait to wear this at a convention, see how many people recognize BF and dog blunder.
