A jury convicted shit bird Daniel Perry of murdering BLM protestor Garrett Foster. Not that Perry’s claims of “self-defense” holds up when Foster was shot five times. I can see once but any more is excessive and probably done in anger.
Foster carrying an AK-47 didn’t help yet it didn’t matter because the prosecution and APD proved (for once with our questionable, pro-GOP cops) that Perry was actively hunting for a confrontation. Firstly, he intentionally drove toward a group of protestors around the downtown area, where else would a protest be? They banged on his car since nobody likes to be run over. Then Foster went up to Perry’s window, said something; what it was we’ll never know thanks to Perry killing him; Perry rolled down his window and murdered Foster with his own gun. Which kind? I couldn’t find any stories stating it. I wouldn’t be surprised if it was issued to him from the Army as Perry is still an active-duty member; more evidence in how the White Power’s disgusting rot has infiltrated the US military. Of course Perry claimed Foster carrying the gun automatically meant this was a threat, ergo, shooting Foster was “justified.” Way to go “stand your ground” law. Secondly, the prosecution confiscated Perry’s phone and discovered he had been searching for protests on the evening of the crime. Being an Uber driver failed to be an effective cover when you have a history of posting messages saying “you may have to kill a few people tonight,” or “I might go to Dallas tonight to kill some looters.”
Perry will be sentenced next week. He’s not out of the woods though. The Army will have a crack at him next. They better make the same decision if they want to maintain their very fragile credibility.
