I recently won an iMac at work. Not a bad model at all. It would be nice to utilize the computer in some fashion beyond being an alarm clock but we just lack the space and time. So I cleared it out, updated the macOS and then set it up to boot up every weekday at 6 AM, open up the calendar so we know what’s on the agenda beyond work and tap right into my stream. Still having trouble keeping the boot chime de-activated, the whining it shows on a dialog box about the keyboard being “missing” and how to show the weather. I’ll get there, it’s mostly a manner of digging through forums.
