Fourteen years ago, a long dinner at Chili’s

I recall the weather was much better that evening too, I only need my biker jacket and my Babs Bunny sweatshirt. I still have the clothing and the lady I met, Chili’s moved to a location closer to the feeder road on I-35.

For once, the online dating scene didn’t introduce me to a seriously disturbed person (Allison) or a rather bossy Aggie (Kristine). Three others were OK yet there wasn’t anything further on either side, probably me but I got over it quickly (Amy, Julie and Kami). Somara was the most fun because there wasn’t any pressure, the objective was to hit all the social things we enjoyed like movies, shows, etc. Getting my crap together at Apple (being hired) and a long-term place to live were more important than a girlfriend, Somara’s role was to be a buddy, let the rest fall where it may.

The plans for this year are mainly centered around Russellmania. I figure we’ll have a nice, quick dinner at the Chili’s closest to our house tonight. Somara’s team has to pack up to change buildings over the weekend so anything after dinner (movie namely) is out of the question. Besides, Sunday’s marathon overcompensates.
