My Stars have won five straight in pursuit of the Calder Cup! Tonight was their first shutout, a 4-0 drubbing given to the defending champs. They were off to a shaky start given it took 18 shots-on-goal to finally have one hit the net. Then the can of whoop-ass was unleashed. So I should erase the one and pencil in a two. I’m also hoping the question mark will be the Marlies; it may pan out, the Wolves are now down 0-2 as their series moves to Toronto next week.
Good thing the AHL got the memo about my mini-vacation. I will not miss any Austin-based games while in Vegas as the action moves to Grand Rapids for two, possibly three games if necessary.
