My after-party photo with fellow DM and hilarious joke-writer/teller Blaine! I’m not sure if I grammatically structured that last sentence, we’re only fellow DMs, I don’t write jokes, I only live them.
It was great to run into him. I praised his DM skills since he took over for Sark (he’s still on leave). Blaine told me he had something all planned out but Brian (Posehn), Ken (Daly), Dan (Telfer) and Steve (Agee) took off in another direction. I laughed, said, oh players always do that to us. He nicely let me know when he got back to LA, Nerd Poker would be recording this upcoming Tuesday. Hooray! Maybe another shout out for my alt-ego in D&D…Impavidus Goldfrapp.
I thanked him for coming to Austin and to have a safe trip home (his plane left at 5:30 am, yuck!) and of course, come see us soon. I definitely need to listen to the pilot ep again to jot down the stats of the first PCs, integrate Blackie Greene into my campaign. Every world needs a fast-talking, charismatic half-elf wizard/sorcerer who has the right one-liner at the right time!
