I decided to let April Fool’s Day go. Miette may be 17 but she’s hanging in there with her thyroid issue and Apple turning 40 didn’t really inspire much. Couldn’t think of a good prank neither.
The header above is the last of the Sixties crew as they posed for their Wrath of Khan photos, the best flick they did. Roddenberry hated those uniforms. He said they looked too militaristic. I do miss the colors (red, blue and gold) yet they’re snazzier than those goofy pajamas The Motion(less) Picture had.
Khan has a special place in my life too. It was the 1982 Summer movie for me as we awaited the inevitable move to Houston. I kept thinking about how it wasn’t really happening. We were never going to reside in a true city, let alone another state nor region of America. The reality happened in late August though. Meanwhile, I saw Khan twice at the White Oaks Mall’s threeplex. Oddly, it was on HBO pretty quickly too, I think around Christmas ’82 or early ’83.
Hoping to post a bit more this April since it will be rather eventful and taking a chance somebody is still reading. Nobody comments anymore because the process had to be more onerous to keep spammers out. Do you think we’d have this problem if our world wasn’t filled with numerous, rapacious capitalists willing waste so much energy for such a little possible return?
