While I’ve been home sick for several days, I upgraded “Sean Connery” to a larger space in my house, one of the empty bedrooms. It’s rather perfect because he cannot hide anywhere but I did give him the cat cave-bed combo I bought long ago for Miguel. Given his anxiety, cat expert (catspert?) Jackson Galaxy highly recommends the cave-bed; it provides the cat a sense of security while getting them to be in the open.
I would say the new digs have succeeded as he now loves being petted and hugged.
Next step…new cat toys to burn off his excess energy until he is more comfortable with the rest of the house and I hope he stars cuddling with Isis.
