RIP Ennio Morricone

Ennio was probably one of the biggest composers before John Williams, namely due to his head start. Like many, I’m more familiar with his Westerns that made Clint Eastwood into a bigger star and then contributing to John Carpenter’s remake of The Thing. When Quentin Tarantino made his Western, The Hateful Eight, he had to have Ennio’s music. Meanwhile, if you go to his imdb.com page you will see he was a super busy guy on both sides of the Atlantic…520 credits.

Thanks for all your wonderful music Ennio. My only regret was not writing about you for Italian Heritage month while you were alive.
