KMAG Podcast not available on Spotify for hilarious reasons

A couple weeks ago, I noticed that I couldn’t find my podcast KMAG via Spotify and then I received an e-mail from a friend verifying this. The latter assured me I wasn’t a moron when it came to searching on the service. My hosting service Castos didn’t show any immediate answers so I put in a support ticket which yielded a response MAD could’ve used in their chutzpah examples.

Ready.

My podcast was removed because it “violated” their music license policy. This is coming from the Swedish thieves who also thought it was a great idea to get exclusivity of Alex Jones-wannabe (calling him a comedian is an exaggeration) Joe Rogan. Unlike these hypocrites, I bought the music originally, giving the artists more than they’ll ever make from streaming in a decade. Secondly, their moronic staff doesn’t know how copyright works. I did my homework years ago via the host of Coverville. KMAG is technically (and originally) a series of mixtapes and those fall under fair use. Since I make no money on them (I actually lose money), it boosts my point. Lastly, I use Castos to make distribution to my friends, the only audience, easier. I have read the analytics from Castos and discovered I do have “listeners” in places I’m 99% certain of being friend-free zones: Ireland, Germany and Czechia (Czech Republic?) alongside US states Oregon, Virginia and Ohio. Even if I were wrong, the worst fate I could suffer is a cease-and-desist letter from ASCAP and/or BMI. Pretty doubtful given the bigger targets those “non-profits” are busier fighting…Spotify, Pandora, etc.

Sorry if you prefer Spotify but please do me a favor and try an application that works better and screws people over less.
