Rest In Peace Daniel Ellsberg

Since I have a degree in Communications, Mr. Ellsberg is a name who was often near the front of my brain. Same for my ex-roomie/good friend Paul with his Journalism. This man was the primary reason why Amerika’s Military-Industrial Complex is worse. After Dan exposed how the Pentagon and White House (since Eisenhower) lied for years on the war we didn’t need to be involved in. Newspapers were still relevant and the major ones were not struggling nor the property of shitty hedge funds or shitty billionaires.

Today, the Media is owned by the same shit birds profiting from all the arms’ sales in the futility to save Ukraine while Amerika is crumbling (see the I-95 bridge in Philly). They work hand-in-hand with the Pentagon to cover up all the blood and treasure we’ve lost in Dubious Bush and Darth Cheney’s lies over Iraq, the pointlessness of propping up thieves in Afghanistan and numerous African debacles. The oh so-called Liberal Obummer (aka Nixon II) was anything but transparent while he illegally had a US citizen killed via drone. We all know if he were a cabinet member in the Seventies, he’d condone Tricky Dick’s smear campaign on Ellsberg too.

It’s sad Ellsberg lived to see all the work he pioneered fall apart. There were comparisons between him and Edward Snowden. Obviously, Malcolm Nance, the big apologist for US Intelligence Agencies’ murders and incompetence, begged to differ as he continued to call the former contractor a traitor. I agree in that they’re not the same on multiple points. Yet Ellsberg continues to be a hero to many because he succeeded and people like Nance now grudgingly admit to Vietnam being a boondoggle costing over a million lives. And although Ellsberg did try to get attention through all the “proper channels” before he went directly to the New York Times et al. while Snowden didn’t. I’m confident Snowden knew better, as I pointed out earlier how the Military-Industrial Complex remembered their lesson and if Snowden went the same route as Ellsberg, Nixon II would’ve approved his assassination. It’s probably why Assange fled to a Latin American embassy for a few years too. Like him or hate him, Assange doesn’t deserve the death penalty for exposing Amerikan hypocrisy and use of excessive violence. I’m sure Ellsberg is grateful the CIA hasn’t invented a time machine yet.

Thanks for risking it all Mr. Ellsberg. We need to keep those in power accountable for all the horrors they commit in the name of the American people. We must get this country back on the right track before its too late and the first steps, forcing Boomers to resign and destroying the shitty duopoly of two right-wing political parties slowly killing the world.
