Simpsons Chucks I: Bart Simpson

I went with the left shoe because Bart is left-handed like his creator Matt Groening.

Converse continues to be on a roll! First was the rock n’ roll lines. Then it was the DC Comics followed by Dr. Seuss. Last month it paid off to be on their mailing list amongst the ongoing spam I get from dozens of other vendors. Converse and the Simpsons came together with what I consider the ultimate Chucks! Some of you bet I just about combusted with glee when I received the e-mail from Converse announcing the Simpsons line. You were close. I was immediately negotiating with Somara on buying all three pairs, working out the payment plan; they’re $60/pair. I’m finally wearing them since they’re paid off. Here is the first set, the other will follow in the near future.

Great box top, you cannot tell which character it is.

Like all the speciality lines, the Simpsons have their own boxes. I usually skip the others but maybe I should include them next time.

The Converse logo has the traditional colors of the Simpsons: their skin tone and Marge's hair.

This pair is my least favorite. I got them because I’m a completist and they’re still a conversation starter. They didn’t come with special laces. I may have to accessorize them.

You can see the illustrations inside the shoe.

Finally, the clincher. Converse put a customized label on the tongue and the interior continues with the chalkboard theme with various poses of Bart.
