Right on the heels of Glen A Larson’s passing, a beautiful pinball machine to promote probably what was the movie that was released in the Spring of 1979 before it became a TV series. The back glass needs some work to get the color back but otherwise it’s gorgeous. You have to see it in person to appreciate the color Gottleib used to make it stand out. How does it play? Much like most machines of its era. Audio was limited so there’s no Twiki voice or sound effects. I still love the emphasis on Buck “rescuing” a proxy for Princess Ardalla with EDF Starfighters and Draconian Hatchet fighters zooming around in the background. I told the staff they need to move it next to the Flash Gordon (circa 1980) game.
